Dr. Anthony Oraha joined Fox 2 Detroit to discuss why some people seem to get sick more often than others — and what you can do to strengthen your immune system this cold and flu season.

We’ve all noticed it — some people catch every cold that goes around, while others seem to breeze through the season untouched. Why is that?

According to Dr. Anthony Oraha, founder of Synergy Longevity Centers, it’s not just luck — it’s a combination of how we live, rest, and nourish our bodies.

Stress and sleep play a major role. Chronic stress raises cortisol levels, which suppress immune function. And getting less than seven hours of sleep per night can make you up to three times more likely to catch a cold.

So what can we do to stay healthy?
